Fund-a-Paw (“we”, “us”) connects donors with animal shelters for transparent, direct support.

What we collect

Contact details (name, email, phone) that you provide.
Donation details (amount, currency, receipt email, campaign/shelter). Card data is processed by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe)—we do not store card numbers.
Updates preferences (whether you opted in to progress updates or newsletters).
Usage data (pages viewed, device/browser info, approximate location) to improve our services and fight fraud.
Shelter data (for partners): public contact info, descriptions, and needs you publish.
Cookies and similar technologies for security and analytics. You can control cookies in your browser.

How we use data

Process donations, send tax/receipt emails, and provide support.
Send progress updates and newsletters if you opt in (you can unsubscribe anytime).
Prevent fraud, comply with law, and maintain the platform.

Sharing

We share data only as needed to operate Fund-a-Paw:

Service providers under contract (payment processors like Stripe, email & infrastructure providers, analytics, support tools).
Partner shelters benefiting from a donation, to administer updates and acknowledgements (only the info needed).
Legal requirements (e.g., compliance, fraud prevention, or to protect rights).

We do not sell personal data.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. Receipts and donation records may be retained to comply with tax rules.

Security

Transactions are handled by PCI DSS Level 1 payment processors. We use HTTPS and industry best practices. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Children

Fund-a-Paw is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will notify you (for example, via the site or email). The “Last updated” date will always show the latest version.
